Our mission

We are committed to developing affordable, high-quality software for life sciences. We want our software to be among the best in the industry and we want to accomplish this by adding innovative features (like the one-click calibration option in Carnoy) and by designing easy-to-use interfaces. Additionally, we want to offer our customers world-class support with very short response times.
We sell our software directly through our online store. All software is shareware: you can freely download it 24 hours a day, every day and test it at your convenience. Because we don't have to hire sales representatives, we can invest more in innovative features. We handle support issues ourselves so if you have a problem, you can get in touch with the developer who wrote the application.

How it began...

Good science requires good tools. During our PhD work in systematic botany, we discovered that many of the tools and software in use by scientists is outdated, hard-to-use or way too expensive. In the meantime, we have completed our PhD and with biovolution, we want to bring our development efforts to the next level. We rewrote iMap from scratch to be a powerful yet intuitive and extensible mapping application for Mac OS X. Next, we plan to rewrite Carnoy and make it one of the best image analysis applications available to scientists.
